RUD34 rudder blade examples:
The above example shows a typical RUD34 installation in a tiller steered composite boat. The 6T075 bearing has a GRP tube which makes installation very simple, strong and durable. The loose 42050STP top bearing has build in stops to limit the rudder travel to 2 x 40. The rudder stock is in aluminium 6082 (stainless steel is possible at a surcharge). By defining the distance H1 =  "top of deck to bottom of hull", and optional H2 for the autopilot lever, the system can easily be defined.  Please click on the PDF symbol to open the PDF version of this drawing.

The above example shows a typical RUD34 installation in a wheel steered composite boat with a separate bottom and top bearing. The 6T078 bearing has a GRP tube which makes installation very simple, strong and durable and is sealed on top with a gaiter. The top bearing is a so called "multi purpose" bearing 4S060Z which incorporates a self-aligning roller bearing, with a vertical ball bearing (to keep the rudder up) and a deck cover - removable with a winch handle. The rudder stock is in aluminium 6082 (stainless steel is possible at a surcharge). By defining the distance H1 =  "top of deck to bottom of hull", and H2 = "height of quadrant/tiller arm" the system can easily be defined.
