Cross wire and parallel wire idlers |
Cross wire and parallel wire idlers |
The Jefa cross wire and parallel wire idlers are made of
high strength aluminium plating for the ultimate in strength and
durability. All parts are CNC machined to the final dimensions. The
cross wire idler is used in a conventional idler system, where the
cables have to cross in the pedestal to achieve the correct steering
rotation. The parallel wire idler is used on open wire system with
additional sheaves going on a 80° quadrant. The idlers are available
with 100 mm black delrin sheaves with ball bearings or 100 mm aluminium sheaves with
ball bearings (for 5 mm cable) and
with 140 mm black delrin sheaves with ball bearings or 140 mm aluminium sheaves with
ball bearings (for 6 mm cable). The mounting holes in the plate of the idlers matches
the mounting bolts of our pedestals for easy and quick mounting. Many examples of the use of the cross wire idler can be found on this page. Please click on the picture for a larger view. |
